Laurie Miller Hornik is an artist, writer, and educator. She earned her BA from Harvard University in Medieval History and Literature in the hopes that she would receive a unicorn along with her diploma, but sadly, she did not. <\/span>
<\/strong>
She is the author of two humorous children’s novels, The Secrets of Ms. Snickle’s Class<\/em> (Clarion, 2001) and Zoo School<\/em> (Clarion, 2004) as well as short humor pieces in Slackjaw<\/em>, The Belladonna Comedy<\/em>, Frazzled<\/em>, and Jane Austen’s Wastebasket<\/em>. Laurie also publishes humor on Substack every other week on Sometimes Silly, Sometimes Ridiculous<\/a>. <\/span>

Laurie creates mixed media collages, which she shows locally and through her Etsy shop, CollageFantastic<\/a>.
<\/strong>
When she is not engaged in her many hobbies, Laurie teaches middle school English full time at a progressive independent school in NYC and resides in Yonkers, NY<\/span> with her husband, Retired Rob, and her two cats, Dusty and Dash. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
